The Mickey Mouse cartoon Pluto’s Party is released. Directed by Milt Schaffer, Mickeyholds a big birthday party for Pluto.
Pluto’s Dream Houseis a Mickey Mouse cartoon was released on August 30, 1940. Directed by Clyde Geronomi, Mickey Mouse finds a magic lamp that builds Pluto a doghouse.
Mickey’s Follies is a Mickey Mouse short. It debuted August 28, 1929 and was the source of the song Minnie’s Yoo-Hoo. Mickey and his barnyard pals put on a show that includes dancing ducks, opera singing by Patricia Pig, and Mickey’s own rendition of his theme song, “Minnie’s Yoo Hoo.”

Mickey · Donald · Goofy: The Three Musketeers (also known as simply The Three Musketeers) is a direct-to-video animated film adaptation of the novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, père. As the title suggests, it features Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as the three musketeers. This film was directed by Donovan Cook, produced by DisneyToon Studios, and released directly to VHS and DVD on August 17, 2004, by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
On August 15, 1929, Walt Disney released Wild Waves a Mickey Mouse short. In the film Mickey rescues Minnie from drowning, then plays music with various beach animals.
On August 13, 1932, Disney’s 44th Mickey Mouse cartoon Mickey’s Nightmare is released. Mickey goes to sleep one night and dreams that he and Minnie get married. Soon several storks arrive at the house dropping off children, literally by the bucket load. The hoard of children overrun the house and create a nuisance for Mickey and Pluto. Mickey finally wakes up with a renewed determination never to marry.
